Wedding Duos
We have many duo options available for you. We’ve got a violin-guitar duo which is a fabulous ensemble. Try out our violin-piano or cello-piano duos; these gorgeous instruments mesh super well together! Side note, most Charleston wedding venues do not have baby grand pianos, so we can rent one for your occasion, have it delivered to your wedding venue, or we can bust out one of our top-of-the-line keyboards. Keyboard sounds great!
If you desire a little more elegance or maybe a calming effect in your musical duo choice, you can’t go wrong with a violinist, cellist, or flutist coupled with a harpist. We like hearing and seeing the harp duos at wedding ceremonies only and recommend letting the harpist wow your guests with a solo during the cocktail hour.
Did you know our Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” violin-cello duo video has nearly two million views? How about that! It’s a beautiful video! However, we don’t recommend hiring this type of ensemble for weddings. Also, we are glad that we receive the ever-occasional request for a violin and cello duo. While our musicians are highly skilled and can make most musical combinations sound superb, violin-cello duos are not the best choice for events. The repertoire is limited; the sound projection is next to none, making it hard for your guests to hear the music, and to be quite honest, duo performances can leave the audience bored. There are much better sounding duos or trios!
We offer duo performances for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, rehearsal dinner, bridal brunch
