About Charleston Virtuosi
My name is Peter Kiral, the founder of Charleston Virtuosi – Kiral Artists. I got my start in the wedding music industry in 2007. Thinking back to our first gig, it was a small wedding ceremony at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant, where I played solo violin. Since then, we have contracted over 2000 events across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and other US and European locations, providing exceptional string ensembles, jazz bands, party bands, hybrid DJ groups, and specialty acts.
My expertise in string ensembles and classical music comes from my previous career as a violin and viola player performing in different symphony orchestras and chamber groups across Europe and from my family DNA as being a child of parents where my mom was a rock & pop singer, composer, pianist and conductor, father being a cello player in a baroque chamber orchestra and grandfather being a drum teacher at conservatory of music and a big band leader.
My enjoyment in creating hybrid DJ groups comes from growing up in the European electronic music scene, going to rave parties in Ibiza and Germany where the best DJs performed, and performing with DJs on the electric violin in Ibiza.
While performing between Charleston, New York City, and Miami, I have the opportunity to work with the country’s best event planners and be a part of incredible events. With my orchestra, I have performed concerts at Carnegie Hall and at New York Fashion Week and arranged music groups and musicians for weddings and events of Hollywood movie directors, famous musicians, Olympians, and one of the presidents of the US.

We not only bring top-tier talent to Charleston but also stay abreast of music trends from across the US. While we excel at smaller events, we shine in challenging wedding music productions. A testament to this is a three-day destination wedding where we orchestrated sixty musicians and performers.
Our extraordinary string group is The Charleston Virtuosi Sixteen Piece Pop String Orchestra. Our string quartet repertoire includes over three hundred pop covers and many classical music pieces. We have the most extensive variety of ensembles of any size and combination in Charleston to fit our client’s needs, including Strings, Saxophone, Keys, or a strings and cajon group. We always look for new trends and talents to bring to our weddings and events.
Our team includes music arrangers who can arrange almost any song for our wedding couples. The roster of Charleston Virtuosi includes fantastic string players, amazing jazz musicians, high-energy electric violinists, saxophone players, and club DJs from Miami and New York. We don’t only hire musicians, but we also create bands and music groups.
Weddings are not the only type of event we do. We’ve been a part of different concert series in Charleston, such as the Monday Night Concert Series at the CofC, the Tuesday Noon Concert Series at St. Luke’s Chapel, the Piccolo Spoleto and many private house concerts.
