Charleston Wedding String Trio
Along with the string quartet, the Charleston Virtuosi string trio is one of our most booked ensembles. A typical trio features two violinists and a cellist, or sometimes one violinist, a violist, and a cellist. We also offer custom combinations — for instance, you can substitute a flutist for one of the violinists for a different sound. We recommend booking our string trio for a maximum of two hours (ceremony and cocktail hour performance). If you are looking for longer performances, book our string quartet. The quartet sounds better and is way more entertaining. Most of the arrangements for string ensembles, including pop covers and classical music, were originally written for four musicians. So, by having the trio, you are cutting off one instrument. It’s like having a band without an additional vocalist or a horn section. The group still sounds good, but not as good… It’s difficult to explain if you are not a musician, but I hope you understand what we want to say.

If trumpet isn’t your style, we can add a guitarist or pianist to create a fresh sound. No piano at your venue? No problem — we offer high-quality keyboards or even baby grand piano rentals.
